The only register I found that gave reliable control on the fan speed, seems to only accept a value between 0 and 7. I could find no such register in this system. In most system you can find the register and write any value between 0 to 100 into it (sometimes 0 to 255), which corresponds to 0% to 100% speed. Now just run the NoteBook FanControl program, click the three dots in the top right corner to select a config file, click the dropdown box, and scroll down to the GPD P2 MAX config!Ī few notes about how this all works… GPD did something weird with the registers that control the fan. Inside you will find a folder called “Configs”, just paste the attached XML file into this folder.
